One For the Money ...

... two for the show! Actually, this is nonsense: I get no money (thus far) from writing my blogs, and in the past four weeks I have given very little show (i.e., I've posted nothing new for my ever-so-patient, possibly few-in-number readers). So how do I get away with announcing that I'm starting yet another blog, when I so irregularly post to this one?

Answer: because I can.

My new blog, book vs. book, will review, compare, and contextualize (fancy word, huh?) two or more books, magazine/newspaper articles, or, yes, blogs, on (at least tangentially) related subjects. A column with a vaguely similar format ran for at least a few years in the now-struggling Boston Globe. I fantasized about submitting something to that department, only to see it disappear (along with much else that I once held dear about the paper). Now with the Internet at my disposal, no newpaper editor need stand in my way!

Please check in, during the first full week in July, for my first Book Vs. Book post. And keep the faith: now that the near-death experience of being a first-year teacher during finals week is behind me, I plan to resume my duties here at Mr. Roth's Physix Blog. Have a great (Northern Hemisphere) summer!
